The Halloween festivities start right in the heart of Hollingbourne at The Station. A Halloween Matinee kicks off on Saturday 28th Oct at 2.05pm with a screening of “Hocus Pocus”. This will be followed by a spooky screening for adults only, with the 1981 classic “An American Werewolf in London”, which starts at 6pm on Sunday 29th October. Tickets for both cost £5 and £10 if you would like food and drink to be included.
Meeting at the new epicentre of the village, the Station, the trick or treat trail will be £5 per child, in advance, as you join the group all dressed up for an evening of ‘Trick or Treating’. The trail will end back at the Station for a costume competition, games, snacks and exciting prizes can be won. Starts at 4.30pm on 28th October.
If you are looking for a fun, spooky evening of quizzes, games, raffle, fancy dress & dancing, then look no further than Hollingbourne Pantomime Group’s Halloween Quiz Night. Taking place at the village hall on Friday 27th October at 7.30pm, it is £10 per person and tables of up to 8 people including food platter. BYO drinks & glasses!

Just a 3 minute drive from Hollingbourne, Leeds Castle is known for its enchanting Halloween events. Their “Guardians of the Grounds – Halloween Quest” offers a range of spooky activities for visitors of all ages. You can explore the dark corridors of the castle, join ghostly tours, and meet all of the Guardians of the castle in person at the Halloween Ball. Leeds Castle is beautifully illuminated at night, creating a magical and eerie atmosphere for all.

Diesel trains will be running for 5 days at the Bredgar railway station from Wednesday 25th October – Sunday 29th October, which is just a short journey up and along from Hollingbourne Hill to Bredgar. Experience a fun and thrilling train ride around the grounds, to spot as many spooks from the train as you can. Trains will be running from 11am-2pm and there is no need to book, simply turn up and enjoy the ride!

A 2 minute drive from Hollingbourne Village, the Mercure Hotel plays host to an afternoon of scary activities. Including spooktacular entertainment, Halloween crafts, disco, food and tricks and treats. Go along from 12.00pm on Friday 27th October, a ticket is required upon entry so please book in advance!
Pick your own pumpkins in Sandling, Maidstone. With over 100 different varieties of pumpkins, you will be sure to find the perfect ones for you, whether you’re creating a spooky Halloween display, an autumnal decoration or cooking up a culinary delight. Tickets are £3.25 and be sure to check the opening days/times as they can vary.
